There are five large community cohorts in China, including Kadoorie Study of Chronic Disease in China (KSCDC) cohort with 51 million baseline population, Chinese adult lung health study cohort with complete pulmonary function indicators formed by strict sampling, Kailuan cohort including both natural population and high risk population of pneumoconiosis, Dongfeng cohort and Taizhou healthy population cohort. Based on these five relatively complete large community cohorts and four clinical cohorts with good basis such as interstitial lung diseases cohort, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease cohort, children - adult asthma cohort and pulmonary embolism cohort, through system integration, long-term follow-up and standard collection of clinical information and biological samples, a respiratory disease cohort with more than 60,000 people was formed. Through this cohort, researchers attempted to identify the phenotypic characteristics of each disease, figure out the disease evolution and prognosis and support further research on molecular classification and precision prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases.

      Number of Participants About 6 million community population, including about 1 million cases of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, about 8000 cases of asthma (of which 4000 cases of children), 3000 cases of patients with pulmonary embolism and 3000 cases of the interstitial lung disease.
